Given that we cannot save the videos we started last class for a long period of time, you are going to create another (more comprehensive) video with another program. You are all getting credit for working hard on the past video.
New instructions:
1- Create a video where you explain:
- What is DNA and where is it found?
- What are chromosomes?
- What is chromatin?
- Name the parts of a chromosome (centromere, p arm etc....)
- Explain how many chromosomes each human cell has
- Explain what the cell cycle is and why is it important
- Explain which types of cells do mitosis
- Explain each phase of the cell cycle IN DETAIL (interphase (G1, S, G2), mitosis (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase), cytokinesis)
- Explain which types of cells do meiosis
- Explain each phase of meiosis IN DETAIL (we will be going over this material in the upcoming weeks)
2- You may work individually or in pairs.
3- This project is going to be worth more than the past project since it is more comprehensive. It will also be your final project for the class. Please be creative! add images, text, voice overs etc. I will also be grading creativity
4. Turn in date:
Friday June 20th
5- Instructions to access the new program
a. Go to the following website: http://www.powtoon.com/
b. Click on "Start now" and create an account. Enter your name, email address and a password
c. Log in and create a video presentation. Explore the program and find out what you can do. You can pick images, download images, do voice overs, add transitions from slide to slide etc.
